Basic IT skills training in Noklak

Noklak, April 20 (MExN): A one-day basic soft skills & IT skills training was held at Noklak village, on April 20 at White Hall, organized by Nagaland Tribal Research Institute, Department of Tribal Affairs under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs GoI.

Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Hiazu Meru said that organizing such training is very important for the youngsters to brighten their future careers. 

“The higher level we go the higher skills we need,” he added. 

He said soft skills are communication skills, understanding, active listening to others, body language, etc. the hard skills are what we learn in colleges, universities, etc. 

“We are living in a country of high population, high competition but a limited jobs to give,” therefore he said “knowing soft skills and IT is very important while pursuing a career in government or private sector.” 

The DC Noklak also said technology is part and parcel of life and we very much depend on social media- WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, etc but we should also know how to use social media and know the IT Act. 

Resource persons were Aolemla Imsong, Superintendent of Child Protection Services, and Tiamongla Kichu SPA, PMMVY. 

A welcome note was delivered by President KSU and the keynote address was delivered by Education Secretary KSU.
