Beisumpui, January 14 (MExN): The Beisumpui Youth Organisation (BYO) celebrated its Golden Jubilee, marking 50 years from 1976 to 2026, at Beisumpui village on January 14 under the banner “Always for the Best.”

Namri Nchang, MLA of the 6th Tening Assembly Constituency, attended the programme as the special guest. In his address, Nchang stated that the Golden Jubilee was a moment to look back with gratitude, acknowledge achievements, and move forward with hope, inspiration, legacy and faith towards a vibrant new chapter. 

He encouraged the citizens of Beisumpui to seek God first and stand for truth, stating that God’s blessings would surely follow.

Describing the 50-year journey of Beisumpui as a beautiful story of strength and purpose, the MLA said the milestone should unlock even greater joy and blessings in the decades to come. 

He further emphasised the importance of faith-based living and prayed that God’s grace would continue to shine upon the people, granting wisdom, good health and abundant blessings in the future.

At the same time, Nchang also highlighted the efforts of the state government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio, stating, the government is serving the people through good governance, legitimacy and economic stability. 

Likewise, he asserted that effective service-oriented policies, including social safety measures, are contributing to long-term growth while aligning development with public needs.

Earlier, Irangtalakpe and Changlakpe, chairmen of Old Beisumpui and Beisumpui respectively, delivered short speeches and praised God for His blessings. The Golden Jubilee souvenir commemorating 50 years of the organisation was released by the special guest.

The programme also featured a cultural dance presented by the Women Society of Old Beisumpui. Deichungbe and Keyilungle compered the celebration.
