Peren, April 16 (MExN): The newly upgraded Government High School at Beisumpuikam, Peren was inaugurated by Advisor, Water Resources, Namri Nchang in the presence of Deputy Commissioner, Peren and other officials on April 14.
Addressing at the inaugural function, Nchang said it was a red-letter day for the people from the village as well as for the entire district, a DIPR report said. Stating that it was an epoch making day and all things can be possible with unity among the people, he encouraged the elders, teaching staff and the students community to work hand in glove so that the village and its people may fructify. Nchang urged the people to utilise the school wisely in all front especially in providing correct data of the school.
The Advisor declared that funds for construction of school auditorium hall have also been sanctioned and further, called on the people to strive for excellence in order to emulate with the rest of the people in the state as well as the country.
Additional Director, School Education (Planning), Temjen who also spoke on the occasion appealed to the village and school authority to approach the department through the elected MLA for availing the infrastructure. He requested the locals and concerned officials to consider the newly upgraded school as their own belongings. Further, he encouraged the school staff members to perform their duty wholeheartedly.
Short speeches were also delivered by NZPO President, Kevipelie Iheilung; Retd. Sr. SDEO, Ramdi Thou; Retd. Director IPR, Pausui Zeliang; Retd. Sr. SP, Iheirei Ndang; Former Speaker NLA, Neiba Ndang and DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier.
Earlier, Hanggam Disuang, Pastor of BBC pronounced the dedicatory prayer, while school report was presented by GHS Beisumpuikam Head Teacher, Niumai Witingthuiliw and vote of thanks was proposed by ADEO Peren, Limayangla Tzudir.
