Dimapur, January 13 (MExN): The Believers Eastern Church, Dimapur Diocese gave away 54 bicycles to needy people at Dimapur Diocese, 7th Mile, Tenyiphe-I village on January 12.
Archbishop Dr. Juria Bardhan, who was the chief guest, in his speech emphasized on giving to others. He urged the believers to be a light unto the people and to the world and to fulfill the purpose of God by having love for others.
The programme was chaired by Rev. Fr. Kasthang Kath and vote of thanks was proposed by Rev. Fr. Ritesh Kumar.
The Believers Eastern Church VB undertakes community development programmes through its social projects. It includes providing bore wells, public toilets, housing for homeless, free tuition for children at its Bridge of Hope Centres, tailoring units and carpentry tools for income generation.
