Dimapur, July 3 (MExN): Dimapur Bengali Samaj (DMS) attended the ‘shardha’ (funeral) of late Niranjan Das employee of M/S. Y Enterprises, who was killed in a grenade attack on June 30 at 3rd Mile, Dimapur. A press note from the Organising Secretary, Chandan Biswas stated that the Samaj, under the leadership of K.K. Paul, donated an amount of Rs. 5,000 to the next of kin and assured the family members further assistance in the future. The Samaj has appealed all its community members to render assistance of any kind to the bereaved family. Pankaj Jain, the proprietor of M/S Y. Enterprises was present at the funeral and assured the Samaj of providing assistance to the deceased’s family.
Rotaract Club Kma condemns
Kohima, July 3 (MExN): The Rotaract Club Kohima condemned the June 30 incident wherein one of its members Asa Khazo (30 years) was injured along with his brother Kelethuto Khazo (40 years) of Jakhama village in a bomb blast at a cement retail store, Dimapur. Condemning the incident in the strongest term, the Club also requested the law enforcing agencies to book the culprit(s) at the earliest and punish the same accordingly. The Club, in a release issued by its president Thejakielie Zumvü and general secretary Neiphreno Irene Kuotsu also prayed for speedy recovery of the victims.
