At breakfast I read the papers and scan for good news but time after time, I am reminded of the evil that is in Nagaland. The evil we reek and it is such a bad way to start my day. I am a young entrepreneur who didn't have it in me to qualify for the civils. I decided to do business, so I invested in a small enterprise but I was reminded grimly of the famous ' Love letters ' from the NPGs. I hate the day I will come face to face with them one day. The little profit I make they will demand for it .
One beautiful news I read was the decision of the Six NNPGs to exempt Naga entrepreneurs from taxation. It was like finding an oasis in an endless sea of sand. It is late but it is such a welcome move. I applaud the wisdom, the sanity, the reasoning of the Six NNPGs. This will be a huge boost to the economy and this will encourage the youth.
The respect that I have lost of the NPGs is restored however little it is as of now. I hope the 6 NNPGs carry out their decision in letter and spirit. A big thank you on behalf of the young people of Nagaland. I hope the other factions follow suit. To all the NPGs, how would you like to be remembered? Do you want us to remember you as leeches sucking us dry? Do you want us to curse you forever? Do you want us to spit at as you turn around? Do you want the responsibility of killing Naga National Movement? In the olden days when you went to villages, the villagers would slaughter pigs for you. Old women would take out rice from their baskets and fed you. Wives would catch chickens and give it to you. Young boys would stand in awe of you as you visited us. Don't you want that again? The Love and the respect for you? Out of our Love and Respect for you, you didn't have to force us, we lovingly gave and even if you asked, we had no issue. We gave it from our heart. Don't you wish for those times? I am a strong Naga patriot and if our faith in you is restored.
Even if you don't ask, I for one will donate whatever little I can. I still believe in Naga National Movement. We all make mistakes and we are willing to forgive. God Bless Naga National Movement.
