Dimapur, December 5 (MExN): The Joint Action Committee on Women Reservation has decided to extend the last date for submission of bio-data of ‘women candidates’ intending to run in the civic polls, to December 15. The committee and leaders of various women organizations met in consultations on December 3 in Kohima.
“The house considered the petition of the government and the judgment extending the date for completion of election process in municipal and town councils to 30th April, 2012 and decided to extend the last date for submission of bio-datas of women candidates to their respective organizations to 15th of December,” a note from the committee received here today has informed. The next meeting of the organizations is scheduled for December 16, commencing from at 10:00 am in the LCS Hall in Kohima.
