Mokokchung, April 27 (MExN): In view of the upcoming state assembly election in 2023, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) 24 Angetyongpang Mandal is in ‘full party mobilisation mode,’ informed a press release.
The mobilisation being undertaken on “war footing” under the Mandal President Imtichizung Ozukum, started with the president and his party colleagues visiting three village units under the constituency - Chakpa, Yaongyimti New and Phangsang town on April 26, it said.
In Chakpa village, the Mandal officials formally set up the Booth Level Committee while in Yongyimti New village, a BJP Unit was officially constituted with appointment of office bearers.
In Phangsang Town, the officials held a meeting with one of the veteran BJP karyakarta Imtizulu, the first BJP candidate from Mokokchung district who contested in the year 2003, the release said.
During the same, the visiting officials appreciated Imtizulu’s loyalty and said that veteran leaders like him were the morale booster for BJP in the constituency.
The 24 Angetyongpang Assembly constituency is one of the most prestigious mandals under Mokokchung district with twelve units and the officials will be visiting the other units within this week, added the release from its Media Cell.
