BJP Nagaland meets with Aliba Village Council

Kohima, April 2 (MExN): The BJP Nagaland, led by State president Benjamin Yepthomi, along with minister Temjen Imna Along and advisor Kropol Vitsu, held a consultative meeting with the Yimden of Aliba village at the Council Hall to deliberate on issues concerning 28 A/C Koridang.

Addressing the gathering, Yepthomi spoke on the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas,” and highlighted developmental initiatives undertaken in the state under various central schemes. He also referred to the shift from the “Look East Policy” to the “Act East Policy” under the BJP-led NDA government, stressing the need for action-oriented development.

He urged members to exercise their democratic rights responsibly, stating that the future of the constituency should be decided by the people through active participation in the electoral process.

Minister for Tourism and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along, while addressing the gathering, refuted claims of dynastic politics and stated that the party ticket was allotted to a young and dynamic leader, Daochier I Imchen, based on his perceived capability.

He also stated that former MLA late Imkong L Imchen, despite certain shortcomings, had been elected for several terms with the continued support of the people of Koridang A/C, adding that he maintained a close connect with the constituency.

Along further stated that the electorate, in making their decision, may consider the broader implications of a fragmented mandate and its potential impact on the constituency’s future.

Advisor Kropol Vitsu recalled the contributions of former MLA late Imkong L Imchen, describing him as a seasoned politician whose works in public service remained noteworthy.

Vitsu stated that with PDA in the state, NEDA in the region and BJP-led NDA at the Centre, election of Daochier I Imchen in the upcoming by-election would strengthen the alliance and facilitate development in the constituency.

He also appealed to the people to exercise their franchise in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
