Dimapur, November 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has accused BJP of being “the root cause of corruption.” Taking a dig at Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, NPCC President K Therie in a press release stated that “Modi is a champion in making false and fraudulent statements.” Therie questioned Modi’s claim of Northeast being at peace. “He claims NE states have moved beyond guns, shutdowns and blockades. What he doesn’t understand is BJP and allied parties have compromised with the insurgents at the cost of public life and property. Having no option, the public are forced to buy peace,” stated the release.
NPCC further stated that no citizen in Northeast states was free from extortion and threat to life. It termed Modi’s claim, following signing of the Framework Agreement with NSCN (IM), that “Nagaland’s problem has been resolved” as “another big fraud.”
It also accused the BJP of not maintaining roads developed by Congress.
“Congress believes in unity and integrity in diversity. We respect the uniqueness of diversity of culture and religion. He believes in Hindutva as a means of Unity and integrity. With intent to cultivate Hindutva, he has appointed RSS Governors and workers. He also is attacking all the institutions by appointing RSS ideologists,” added the release.
