Kohima, March 11 (MExN): The 2nd executive meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Kohima district unit was held on March 9 at unit’s office in Kohima.
Visasolie Lhoungu, BJP Nagaland State unit president attended the meeting as the guest speaker. He admitted that the status of the party is not as good as expected in Nagaland, but that should not be a reason to criticize the other parties or the members within own party, according to a press release issued by the BJP Kohima unit.
Lhoungu further asserted that BJP stands for the development and progress of the downtrodden and weaker sections of the society. “BJP is the only party that could be at a better and positive position to bring development to our State,” he added.
The meeting, chaired by the BJP Kohima district president, began with an invocation prayer led by BJP State executive member Kelhuzhato Nakhro. The unit’s general secretary, Mandal, Mahila and Yuva Morcha presidents also presented their activity reports in the meeting.
