Chümoukedima, February 28 (MExN): An unidentified decomposed male body was recovered from the Chathe River near the old check gate in Chümoukedima on Thursday, police said.
he body was spotted floating in the river around 3:00 pm, following which a police team rushed to the spot. Inquest was conducted over the dead body,” Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur said in a release.
After completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification. Authorities have urged claimants, relatives, or friends of the deceased to contact the Officer-in-Charge, Chümoukedima Police Station at 7085065161.
