Mokokchung, August 6 (MExN): A person drowned in the Dikhu River on August 2 after being swept away by strong water current.
The mortal remains of Purtemsu, aged 40 years, from Akhoya village, Mokokchung, were recovered on August 5, as per the State DIPR, citing Lanutemjen, Company Commandant of Home Guards, Civil Defense & State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Mokokchung.
The body was later handed over to the deceased’s relatives.
The recovery was made possible due to the immediate response by 15 SDRF personnel under the command of H Kiyekhe, Platoon Commander, and Honorary ASI Rongsennungba.
