The body of a 28 year-old man, who went missing on July 28, was recovered from the Dhansiri River in Assam’s Golaghat district. The deceased victim, Hutoka Yepthomi, was earlier reported to have drowned in the Chathe river, in Dubagaon village on the evening of July 28. He was last seen at around 6:30 pm that evening.
His body was recovered in the Dhansiri River near Sarupathar town in the afternoon on July 31, three days after he went missing. The Chathe river flows into the Dhansiri in Assam. As per official sources, procedure was underway to bring the body to Nagaland.
