Kohima, February 6 (MExN): National Oral Health Program in collaboration with National Tobacco Control Program Kohima conducted oral health training for health workers, ASHAs and anganwadi workers at the Primary Health Centre in Botsa, Kohima on February 2.
As per a DIPR report, the programme was organised by NOHP and NTCP, Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Kohima.
District Oral Health Officer, Kohima, Dr I Simon Sum spoke on the topic ‘Importance of Oral Health and Hygiene.’ He also gave a detailed demonstration on proper tooth brushing techniques to the participants. Adverse Effects of Tobacco on Health was highlighted by Achila Walling, Social Worker while Quitting of Tobacco Habits was elaborated by Pelebeinuo Khezhie, Psychologist of National Tobacco Control Program Kohima. As part of the programme, toothpastes and toothbrushes along with IEC materials were distributed.
