ATAN to resume hunger strike

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 9 (MExN):
The Aggrieved Teachers Association Nagaland (ATAN) during its General Meeting held on 9th December, 2011 resolved to resume the hunger strike which was temporarily suspended on the 27th October, 2011 at the vicinity of Directorate of School Education, Kohima. This decision was taken due to the Department’s failure to fulfill its written assurance given to the ATAN on the 27th of October, 2011 with due approval from the Chief Secretary and the Minister School Education which led to the temporary suspension of Hunger Strike, informed a press note issued by the ATAN’s Convenor and General Secretary. Therefore, all the ATAN members are informed to be prepared for the resolved decision.

 Tatar Hoho endorse Indo-Naga dialogue
 
 DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 9 (MExN):
The Tatar Hoho Winter Session held on December 9 at Council Headquarters has fully endorsed the Collective Leadership to carry on the ongoing Indo-Naga political dialogue in right earnest. This was stated in a press note issued by the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim through its MIP.

 Naga Concordant groups in joint public service

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 9 (MExN):
On the occasion of the International Human Rights Day on December 10, 2011, the signatories of the Naga Concordant (NSCN/GPRN, NNC/FGN, GPRN/NSCN) will be jointly rendering public service. The cadres from the three groups will be painting the Hong Kong market fly over. The public service will be carried out in the presence of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation. “This symbolic expression of unity in purpose will begin from 7:00am”, informed a press note issued by the FNR.
