BZ Entertainment team performing a play as part of it HIV awareness campaign at Old Tesen village, Peren district recently.
PEREN, DECEMBER 15 (MExN): Building on the success of its HIV awareness campaign in Dimapur and Kohima, BZ Entertainment, in collaboration with the Nagaland State Aids Control Society (NSACS), has entered the next phase of its transformative initiative. The Drama and Film Society has successfully completed a series of 10 street plays respectively in Dimapur and Kohima and recently at Peren district making it a total of 30 Shows, reaching communities across various locations from December 11 to 13.
A press release issued by BZ Entertainment informed that the street plays, strategically performed at key locations, aimed to deepen the understanding of HIV transmission, prevention, testing, and the urgent need to combat stigma and discrimination.

The campaign has already made a significant impact with performances at strategic locations such as, Jalukie-B Monday Bazaar, Jalukie Town Taxi Parking, New Jalukie Town, Kipeuzang Bazaar, Peren Town Junction, Jalukie Town Daily Market, Tening SBI Junction, Old Tesen Village, Samziuram Wednesday Bazaar and Punglwa Village Marketing Shed, it stated.
BZ Entertainment's carefully crafted street plays provided vital information on HIV, and following each performance, the NSACS Mobile Integrated Counselling and Testing Centre (MICTC) team offered free blood tests for HIV and counseling services. This integrated approach ensured that the audience not only received crucial information but also had immediate access to support and guidance, it maintained.
The campaign in Peren further emphasizes BZ Entertainment's commitment to creating an immersive experience for communities. As BZ Entertainment continues its journey, the Drama and Film Society remains dedicated to using creative expression as a catalyst for positive transformation. The collaboration with NSACS underscores their commitment to making a lasting impact on HIV awareness in Nagaland, the press release stated.
