CAG launches national essay competition 2025

Kohima, September 25 (MExN): The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India has launched the fourth National Online Essay Competition 2025, inviting youth aged 15 to 29 to participate as part of its Audit Diwas celebrations marking 166 years of the institution.

The competition aims to encourage ideas on transparency, accountability, and good governance, emphasizing the CAG’s role in strengthening democracy, stated a press release received here. The competition, hosted on the MyBharat Portal, begins with an online quiz to shortlist participants. 

Shortlisted candidates will then upload essays of up to 1500 words in Hindi or English. The top three essays in each language will win prizes. A screening quiz to shortlist candidates is now live on the MyBharat Portal, it stated. 

The screening quiz will be held from September 23 to October 5. The essay upload (shortlisted candidates) will be from October 8–15 while results will be declared in the CAG website on October 31. 

The top three essays in each language will receive cash prizes of Rs 50,000, Rs 40,000, and Rs 30,000, respectively. The top 100 essays in each language will receive merit certificates. Winners will be honoured by the CAG in Delhi on November 16, with travel and accommodation provided.
