Can a baby be born of the Holy Spirit coming upon a virgin?

Can a girl raped by a Holy Spirit give birth to a Child? This is an issue fundamental in Christianity.
This writer use the word ‘rape’ to make the issue real and near to the Nagas as our Society today has of late come eye ball to eye ball and face-to-naked face with the question of rape in our society.
Professor Maheswary of Delhi University, a world renowned Authority on EMBRYOLOGY, just after a Lecture tour of Israel he called “the holy land”, said self-fertilization occurs in the plant kingdom and is even possible in man. Self fertilization is known in some Animals without bones but in higher Animals with Bone, it is unknown. Man is an Animal with Bone.

When a woman is raped, the following conditions and situations come into force:
i. The perpetrator is often a Stranger not known to the Girl.
ii. It happens when the woman is alone or is abducted.
iii. Force is usually used to subdue the girl.
iv. The girl is devastated after the happening.
v. The Aggrieved Girl seeks punishment of the culprit.
Did the narration in the New Testament really happen? Or, is it a concocted story? Is it believable? Can a child be born out of the union of a Virgin and the Holy Spirit? This is the corner-stone in the structure of the Christian Religion.
Let us first be sure of what a contemporary Author of the time narrated: Luke 1: 26 – 38.
Verses 26 – 31.
“In the sixth month, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The girl’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, ‘Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you’
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus’”
Versus 34 – 38.
“How will this be”, Mary asked the angel, ‘since I am a virgin”
The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age and she who was said to be barren is in he sixth month.
This is a typically a possible rape case situation:
a. the perpetrator was not known to the Girl,
b. he suddenly appears alone and unannounced,
c.      the Girl was alone,
d.      she was frightened,
e. The exact spot where it happened is not mentioned but the place and region is recorded. It was in the town of Nazareth of the province of Galilee,
f. the time of the happening is a little unclear. Historically it was when Herod was King over Judea. The month recorded, -“in the sixth month” is a little inconclusive in the sense that whether it was the Sixth month of the Year or the Sixth month after a mysterious thing happened to Priest Zachariah when inside the Temple, is not known for sure.
The third condition of a typical Rape Case situation however, did not happen –there was no forcing or compulsion on the girl. Force was not used, instead there was strange greeting from the Stranger. Mary may suspect the initial good demeanor of the Stranger an attempt to lull her opposition. Luke records Mary’s immediate reaction: “greatly troubled at his words”.
Then the Stranger made a shocking statement he should have made to the girl’s betrothed than to her: “you will be with child and give birth to a son,” and she was even told of the name –Jesus for the son! Mary knew she was betrothed to Joseph but she still has her virginity. When she protested, the Stranger said something Mary could verify in reality.
The Stranger said Mary’s barren and aged cousin-Sister Elizabeth is with child and is now in her the sixth month!
“Nothing is impossible with God”, the angel said and left.
The over the 2000 years old Story today, has wonderfully become an accepted integral part of our understandings but when it happened in real life conditions to common persons of the day, it was almost a shocking encounter. And it is understandable if Mary were to be devastated at the encounter. Yet her reactions testify to an extraordinary experience.
Instead of being devastated, she became so inspired as to composed a song so wonderfully edifying even today –Luke 1; 46 – 56 readers may refer to.
Her cousin sister Elizabeth lives with her husband Zachariah in far off Judea; every kith and kin believed the couple is childless because the wife is barren, moreover both she and her husband were advanced in years.
Mary’s first reaction to the unbelievable Message of what the Angel had said; was to make a bee-line to her sister Elizabeth to verify. Elizabeth lives with her husband Zachariah in far away Judea from Galilee. The young girl Mary took the several days’ foot journey. Their meeting at the door of the Zacharias was from the first moment extraordinarily eventful and confirmative. The reader may read it in the Gospel.
The birth of Jesus is not a concocted mythological account of some Religion. It is Historical, Real, Dated and is a strange Common sense Account of the happenings in the day to day life of real flesh and blood persons that lived in a difficult period of their history. The story was written by eye witnesses when the persons mentioned in the story were still alive. Had the account been lies, the live contemporaries involved in the story would have sued the narrators. All the Predictions in the Story came true in the lifetime of the Parents. If the 12 Apostles had lied together, then the 4 Gospels would each have been carbon copy of the other, they would be same rather than different in details.
No Man in the History of Mankind has ever any given his life a myrtyr for things he believed to be a lie.
