Dimapur, February 28 (MExN): The chairman & head village chief, Industrial village Razhuphe, Dimapur, T.L Angami has reported that some outsiders trespassed into the village land with Jamabandi and threatened some of the villagers to leave their land.
In a note addressed to the E.A.C (Rev), office of the D.C Dimapur, T.L Angami requested the former to cancel such Jamabandi which were issued over the Village land, for the interest of the justice of law and allow his villagers to live in their land peacefully as earlier. The chairman also stated that the villagers are living peacefully for the last 40 years and also paying their tax to the government of Nagaland since then. “The Village land is yet to be acquired by the Government and according to the law of the land, no one can accuse the village land with government allotment order or Jamabandi within the Naga villagers,” the note stated.
