Kohima, September 15 (DIPR): The Department of Health and Family Welfare in Association with Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata is organising Cancer awareness programme on September 22. The programme is being organised in the interest and welfare of the general public in general and Medical professionals in particulars.
The following activities will be carried out during the programme: Free Cancer Screening at Naga Hospital Kohima by team of Cancer Expert from Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kolkata on September 22 from 09:00AM onwards. They will be assisted by team of Doctors from NHAK. Valedictory function, Press meet, interactive session and Oncology skill up gradation session will be held at Hotel Japfü on the same day at 4 PM.
This was informed in a press release issued by the Principal Director Health & Family Welfare, Dr. R. Imtimeren Jamir. Therefore the general public are informed to avail this rare opportunity of free Oral Cancer Screening by Cancer Experts. Public are also informed to avail pre-registration facilities through the following Doctors with their contact numbers: Dr. Tina Khamo – 09436000422 and Dr. Kedo Penyu – 09436010757.
The release further stated that the Department is sincerely inviting the leaders of all Civil Societies (NGOs) and Churches to attend this important Cancer Awareness programme. The Department also invites all Medical private practitioners in Nagaland to participate in Oncology Skill up gradation programme.
