Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): The programme on capacity building and resensitization of HCMC/UHC/VHC under communitization was held on September 23, 2011 at CMO’s conference hall Kohima.
A press note stated that the programme was chaired by Dr.L.Ralte CMO Kohima, reviewing last district level conference on communitization held on May 31, 2011. Dr Avile Zao DIO gave a short presentation on Measles Catch-Up Campaign round. The measles catch-up campaign is to vaccinate all children in a wide age group of nine months to ten years with measles vaccine. The catch-up campaign dose is given to all children, both previously vaccinated and unvaccinated, who belong to the target age group. Dr Vezokholu DTO Kohima addressed the participants on the importance of tuberculosis its prevention and cure, and Dr Atsung DMO Kohima deliberated on prevention of malaria (vector borne diseases). Dr Aseno, ZLO spoke on the importance and effect of NIDDCP. The note also mentioned that in the second session the programme officer had an interaction about roles and responsibilities of HCMC/UHC/VHC with special references on quarterly meeting and VHND.
