Kohima, October 12 (MExN): The Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) on Tuesday informed that it would be conducting District Level ‘Catch Them Young Tournament” (under 14 years) in collaboration with the district office of the Youth Resources and Sports (YR&S) on October 29 and 30, 2021.
In a press release it informed that Athletic events will be conducted on October 29 in sub-divisional headquarters viz. Chozuba, Pfutsero and Meluri in disciplines- 100 Metre dash (Boys and Girls); Long Jump (Boys and Girls); High Jump (Boys and Girls); Shot Put (Boys and Girls) and 800 Metre Race (Boys and Girls).
The association stated that Table Tennis (Boys and Girls) and Badminton (Boys and Girls) both Doubles and Singles along with Athletic events for Phek circle will be held at Phek Town on October 30.
In this regard it had informed all the area presidents and sportsperson to take note of the same and accordingly participate at the nearest venue and at the same time produce Aaadhar for age proof.
It added that the winners will be rewarded with cash prize and will also be selected to represent Phek district at State Level to be held at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) Kohima from November 10 to 12, 2021.
