CBCC calls for renewal of commitment to Christ

DIMAPUR, OCT 26 (MExN): Under the slogan “Reach out 2005” the Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) in order to fulfill it’s commitment of “Seeking the lost” which is the CBCC’s theme of the year 2005 will be inviting every Christian to renew his/her commitment to Christ and be a living witness reaching out to fellow believers and non-believers in their respective work places. 

To put the commitment into reality based on Christian faith, the CBCC had appealed to all the offices under the councils fold to install prayer cells attached to the offices stating that it had already expressed their concern in DPDB meet, Phek. 

This programme is being initiated so that every Christian workers would spend a few minutes everyday to pray for renewal of the society and churches would find space for prayers and fellowship. 

The council had also placed the following prayer items to all the offices: Pray for the chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphio Rio, Ministers and MLAs, so that they will come to know the Lord personally and serve the people dedicatedly; Pray for unity among the factional leaders through reconciliation so that no faction will surrender Nagas political right; pray that the church leaders stand committed to fight against evils like, sale of liquor, drugs, corruption and bribe all over Nagaland and Pray for the Prime Minister of India, Man Mohan Singh and all MPs so that they realize the uniqueness of Naga political status and Naga problem is settles fulfilling the aspiration of the Naga public.
