Census round up for Wokha

Wokha, February 21 (DIPR): The District Administration and Census officials of Wokha district are making all out efforts to ensure a realistic enumeration in the Phase II of census. Series of trainings and sensitization programmes had been carried out in all census charge circles with the involvement of apex NGO’s bodies Kyong Hoho, Kyong Students Union and GB’s Association under the district.
In the follow up effort the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Rovilatuo Mor accompanied by Chairman Kyong Hoho Yansathung Jami visited, Tsungza, Merayan, Yanthamo, Hanku, N. Longchum, New Ralan, Ralan HQ, Chandalashung Old, Totsu and Worokhu on February 15 and on 16 the DC visited Liphayan, Tsuchanpen, Yanlum, Yanpha, Old Ralan, Chandalashung B., Ronsuyan, Likhayan, Sochan, Chandalashung New and Wochan village.
During the inspection non eligibility enumeration detected were deleted and also given strict instruction and warnings to the enumerators to carry out their works as per census guidelines and regulations and also persuaded the village authorities not to impose undue pressures to the enumerators since they do not have any authority to band the census regulations. The effort on supervision, inspection being carried out by all Administrative Officers/Charge Officers will continue through out the process for enumeration, where the Deputy Commissioners will be visiting identified villages under Champang, Bhandari and Sanis on February 22.
