Dimapur, February 18 (MExN): The Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD) in collaboration with Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and Nagaland Joint Christian Forum (NJCF) will be organising a ‘Prayer Rally’ in Dimapur on Sunday.
In a press release on Saturday, they requested all church members to come walking from their respective churches to the venue, Naga Shopping Arcade, Super Market Area, Dimapur at 1:00 pm. It also invited all Christians of Dimapur to participate and pray for religious minorities who are persecuted in the country.
“The main objective of the prayer rally is to pray for those who are persecuted in the name of religion and stop all forms of atrocities meted out to the minority religious groups especially the Christians in the country... The other reason for it is to pray for the clean, fair and free assembly election in the region and our state Nagaland,” the release stated.
According to the release, the prayer rally would include praise and worship and various prayer sessions for the persecuted minority religious groups, nation and national political leaders, state and its public leaders, as well as the young generation.
It also made an earnest request to all the church members in and around Dimapur and like-minded religious institutions and organisations to join the rally.
