Chang Students’ Union plea for Revocation of transfer orders

It has been brought to the knowledge that the government of Nagaland, Education department has transferred Mr. N.Thumngbemo Ovung P.GT (History) from the government Higher Secondary School Tuensang without reliever. It has also been brought to the notice / attention that the English teacher Miss.Temsurenla of the same school who is actually on a study leave has been transferred to Government. Higher secondary School Mon, vide No: EDS? HSS/ 4-11 (PT) 1 dated17 Sept, 2005, that too without reliever. It is to be noted that Government Higher Secondary School Tuensang is the only Higher Secondary School in the whole District which serves the student community of five to six tribes. And, as such, considering the strength of student enrollment of the school there is a vast gap between the teacher-student ratios.

We would  also like to bring to your kind  attention  that the appointment of a physically handicapped teacher is ill- equipped to impart quality knowledge to the student  community as he is not in a position to do justice to his profession. As such we request you to kindly re-adjust him in a suitable position and replace him immediately in the interest and welfare of all concern.

Also, Sir, we also would like to make aware of the shortage of Teachers in Political Science Department, for which we solicit your immediate intervention.

The CSUTT would also like to draw the attention about the lack of infrastructures facilities of the laboratory in the science stream, irregular electricity, water supply and the pathetic / depilated condition of the laboratory building.

In the  afore mentioned issues / matters, CSUTT, urge the   government of  Nagaland to seriously take the matter and immediately revoke  the transfer orders of the PGT subjects teachers, re-adjust the physically handicapped physics teacher and also to provide the basic facilities.
