CHC Kezocha to facilitate better health care delivery system

Nagaland Health & Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom inaugurated Community Health Centre (CHC) at Kezocha under Kohima district on September 9. 

Speaking on the occasion, Pangnyu said that the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Kezocha was upgraded to that of CHC to facilitate better health care delivery system to the public. He said the upgradation of PHC to that of CHC at Kezocha has been possible because of the political will, wherein chief minister Neiphiu Rio and youth resources & sports advisor Er Zale Neikha, has put forward the requirement of CHC for the people of Kezocha range.

The minister said that the state government will accord whatever status is entitled for CHC at Kezocha to provide a comprehensive primary health care. He informed that the PDA government led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio is committed to provide proper medical services and facilities to the people of the state. As requested by the public of Kezocha range, the minister said that posting of sufficient manpower will be look into account in due course of time.

Further, he also assured that quality medical equipment and infrastructure will be extended to CHC Kezocha through World Bank funding.

Minister for PWD (Housing and mechanical) Tongpang Ozukum, Youth Resources & Sports Advisor Er Zale Neikha, Horticulture & Border Affairs Advisor Mhathung Yanthan, Kohima Deputy Commissioner Gregory Thejawelie, Health & Family Welfare Principal Director Dr Neikhrielie Khimiao and public leader Zasivoto Rote also spoke on the occasion. The programme was chaired by Dr Vezokholu Theyo, Chief Medical Officer, Kohima.
