Check With Your Spirit

Regardless of race, economic status, social standing, ruling or opposition, majority or minority, Hindu or Muslim or Christian, good or bad; I am interested in every person on this earth and I want to share with as many as possible what I believe to be true and right. All I do, speak, tell, write and proclaim is that people reflect upon it seriously in view of a progressive, brotherhood and peaceful environment upholding absolute human rights. It is from the purity of my heart to yours. Consider these statements carefully and with an open mind.

To be very honest, leadership in Nagaland is being made by crushing others. Dictators, wealthy elites and power mongers corrupt the good intentions of the common people. Believe it or not, Nagas are not Indians but Nagaland happens to be a part of India from 1963 (nearly 44 years now) and we don’t know how long Nagaland would be under India’s control. Can anybody tell? None but God knows!

The plain truth is that God has placed “Nagaland for Christ” in the middle of China (communist dominated country); Myanmar (Buddhist dominated country); India (Hindu/Muslim dominated country). Nagas must understand that God wanted to reveal His miraculous and powerful works through the Nagas in the whole of India and the rest of the world.

Dear beloved NNC-federal Govt. and NSCN-GPRN, not excluding the Indian constitutional Government of Nagaland Statehood, please come to the table of “Oneness”. Come to the sense of being belonging to the same soil. South, East, North and West of Nagaland has been declared “Nagaland for Christ”. Distorting the God given name by vested interests will invite the wrath of our Creator. We (Nagas) share the water of the same streams. We are of one God and one humanity with same red blood. Nobody’s blood is thicker or thinner than anybody. Why the killing, why the hatred among us brothers and sisters of the same Creator God? It is now time to show the world where we stand. It is time to put our faith into action, time to exercise the wisdom of solidarity. It is now time to re-search our lives, confess our sins (not the sins of others) lest we be condemned by God.

Now, the question to the Nagas : What do we want, God or gun? The answer is both, “YES” and “NO”. Under the authority of properly constituted government, it is possible to have gun. So if you want to have gun, you should get proper license from your properly constituted Government to have a gun. Guns should be under the permission of the properly constituted Government. But unfortunately, unconstitutional guns and money power rules Nagaland today.

What is a properly constituted Government? It is not anything that someone or some party or Organization declares itself as Government. A constituted Government is one that is recognized by the United Nations as well as the majority of nations of the world. When such a government is drawn into a just war, that government and its soldiers can take guns with them on duty. Anybody who takes guns with them without proper permission from their public mandate or properly constituted government is taking with the devil only.

If the Nagas do not turn to God for healing and reconcile with one another with repentance to God, the present Naga rebels, be they NSCN or NNC, will end up in smoke by themselves. The leaders of the state govt. on the other side are no better than the so-called Naga insurgents as both the leaders are sharing the same bed with different clothes.

Still many Naga insurgents think that to fight for the freedom of a people is the license to steal, extort and even murder their fellow countrymen in the name of “Sovereignty”. Don’t you know that there is a world of difference between freedom that brings peace and progress and understanding of humanity, and a revolution in the manner of “Anarchy” which brings chaos, fear and ruin for all? Anarchy type of revolution is throwing off law and order and responsibility.

Let us realise that we (Nagas) have dug our own graves by factional fighting, money loving, power and fame which has produced tribalism, nepotism, bloodshed and corruption in politics in our beautiful Nagaland today. If we let the wrong power exploit us like this, what kind of future shall we point to our beloved children of the land?

Enough is enough! Nagas have been demoralized by our wrong politics, and we cannot and shall not be expected to continue to listen to the same old voice of our leaders but will have to look for all possible means to show the people of the world what we really can do for Christ and for the whole world.

Let us cultivate humbleness and hard work which is one of the highest virtues of Jesus Christ that we have to bear, otherwise we cannot achieve anything in life and neither be able to see the world and achieve our aspirations.

We know that God sent Revival earthquake as an answer to the prayers of Paul and Silas because they loved God with all their heart, might, strength and soul and obeyed God. They were Christian in Christ – the way, the truth and the life. The earthquake of God through the prayer of Paul and Silas caused no physical destruction but changed the lives of the unbelievers and their persecutors.

Dear fellow Nagas, when we prioritise Christ and rely on Him, everything is achievable but when Christ is given a backseat, everything will end in smoke and in shame. So, time urges every Naga citizen to be reconciled with God first and then only peace and solidarity from above can be hoped for. In fact, a true Christian’s heart is broken for the world and therefore nothing could break the Christian community anymore.

You may be the most sophisticated person but your sophistication will not solve our Nagas problem today. Your sophistication is not important to God, but your action is! So, not what you talk but what you do is important to God and so every action of yours should be pleasing God alone.

Let us cultivate the spiritual and intellectual talents upholding morality for making a “Free, Fair, Distinct and cheerful Nagaland.”
My dear Naga leaders, don’t make your decisions on leading the people based on your thoughts or feelings, but check your spirit.
