Botsa, December 15 (DIPR): Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio inaugurated the EAC Office at Botsa on December 15. The occasion was graced by the Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly Kiyanilie Peseyie and Minister for Home, Imkong L. Imchen.
Botsa expected to grow into an important centreThe Chief Minister lauded the quality of work in the construction and for the timely completion. He said that the establishment of the EAC office was for the people themselves who live in the ten villages under Botsa EAC administrative. He therefore called upon all the various public organisations to own the infrastructure and to extend fullest cooperation to the Administration.
The Chief Minister expressed that Botsa is expected to grow into an important centre due to the fact that it borders with the Rengmas and the Semas and will be the pivoting point to Zunheboto and Phek when the new road Botsa to Bokajan is completed. He also informed the people that the Cabinet had approved for a BDO Office for Botsa along with others on December 14. The Chief Minister however, opined that for any good development and growth, peaceful atmosphere and positive image of the people and place are the pre-requisites, he therefore urged the villagers to constantly bear that in mind. The Chief Minister also pointed out that by establishment of EAC Botsa the Northern Angami area is not divided away from Chiephobozou ADC headquarter.
The Chief Minister offered his proposition to the villages of Botsa area for starting a regular Saturday Market at Botsa, and for every village to construct a Hostel facility at Botsa for their students since Botsa has three High Schools. He offered to extend all possible help for such ventures.
The Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Bei-u Angami exhorted the people of Botsa area and appealed for cooperation to the Administrative Officers. He also dissuaded the village authorities from shifting responsibilities to the Administration instead of solving problems by themselves. The DC urged the people to respect the establishment and its authority to protect the infrastructure and to extend assistance to the staff.
The Chairman of Botsa Area Organisation, Phrenyümo thanked the DAN government under Neiphiu Rio for the establishment of the EAC Office and inauguration of the Office building which is perhaps the most beautiful and biggest EAC office in Nagaland. He said that “What was a dream yesterday is a reality today”. The President of NAPO, Vilie-o also spoke on the occasion and appealed to the people to reciprocate the development works of the government by being good, courteous and cooperative.

Rüdilhou Rio while vote of thanks by EAC Botsa Zapuno Sophie and cultural presentation by Botsa village, Nerhe village, Gariphe village, Tuophema village and Dobashis of Botsa.
