Chief Minister, NNC and NPCC extend Christmas greetings

Kohima, December 22 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has extended warm Christmas Greetings on behalf of the Government of Nagaland. “Christmas is not just a time for celebration and merry making but a time to rededicate our lives and renew our faith in the Almighty God,” the message read. May this Christmas bring healing and forgiveness to everyone through Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of Peace, the Comforter, the source of joy and hope for humanity. Rio further appealed to all sections to spread the message of unity and oneness during this period of festivities and wished one and all a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.


NNC: The Naga National Council (NNC) (Parent Body) has extended all the people in the Naga homeland a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year 2019. “May the Naga people rededicate ourselves to the cause of Naga freedom of sovereignty as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ the Savior of the world,” the message added.


NPCC: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has extended Christmas greetings to the people of Nagaland. NPCC President K Therie in his greetings said, “As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, may this Christmas remind us of the meaning of being a Christian and renew our faith by receiving Jesus with a renewed commitment and hereafter practice Christian values in the true spirit.” May the season also be a meaningful celebration through which our culture manifests itself to be an example to other communities, and “remember in prayer our Christian brothers and sisters and other minorities who have faced persecution this year,” the message added. NPCC further wished everyone a very Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
