Kohima, September 6 (MExN): With regard to the murder case of Swuduve Nakro, the Chakhesang Hoho Kohima (CHK) and Chakhesang Youth Organization Kohima (CYOK) officials held a ‘Coordination Meeting’ with the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police of Kohima on September 6 at DC’s official chamber here.
In the course of the meeting, the DC and Sr. SP briefed the members on how the District Administration and the police coordinated with other districts to arrest the accused persons and also assured to give all efforts to ensure befitting punishment is awarded to the accused for their crime as demanded, informed a press release from CHK president, Theja Therieh and publicity & info secretary, Pfuche Koza.
The CHK meanwhile assured its fullest cooperation to the authorities in bringing utmost justice, the release added. In this connection, the Hoho urged upon the judiciary and prosecution not to grant bail at any cost to the accused who are habitual offenders so as to prevent creating law and order problem.
The Hoho also extended sincere appreciation to the Police and Administration of Kohima and Zunheboto districts for their prompt action leading to arrest of the accused within 48 hours. The Hoho also appreciated humanitarian action of Chiechama villagers for tracing the dead body and extending necessary help.
Further, it supported All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) in their pursuit against “inhuman brutality” meted out to one of its members and resolved to continue its fight till the accused are given befitting punishment and justice delivered to the victims.
