Cho Election Khotom Hoishe....

1.    Those who fought with your neighbor, your family and your friends are you shifting your house? Selling your property and moving out of your neighborhood/village/town? Is the Candidate for whom you were ready to cut all tie’s going to relocate you somewhere? Kot de jabolease? Moi khan kebiloijabena.

2.    Those Village Councils who even after so much of public appeal to allow free and fair election decided to silently vote for a single candidate- Cho I hope you get the state-of-the-art schools, roads, electricity, medical upgrades you name it, take all the development, you most definitely deserve it, especially those villages where “Christianity” has a strong foothold (if you know you know).

3.    Those Educated Unemployed youths (some employed) in groups you were roaring, pelting stones and charging other opponents parties, you were ready to fight, you were ready to turn the day into night. I know you are reading this. The love for free and fair election was so high that passion took over you right? The candidate who was in your face for this short period of time, now he/she is gone, out of your reach. But You are going back to being Jobless right? PUBG, League of Legends, Start a Mukbang Youtube Channel?

4.    Those young and old who participated in proxy votes, took money for their votes or gathered masses to showcase the candidate your strength, all for earning quick bucks. I hope you have saved up and invested in some slow income business because tomorrow if you complain about Poor Electricity, Poor roads, Poor health infrastructure, poor this and that you will most definitely be tagged as a hypocritical sorry excuse of a human being. We may not know all of you but someone or the other will know your election venture. So be very careful when you vent out your frustration both online/offline and to what audience for the next 5 years.

5.    Those Pastors belonging to different constituencies/villages who witnessed in your area the utter failure of clean and fair election (you know who you are) speak about it to them, preach when they walk into the church shamelessly asking for God’s grace. Silence on this subject would be deafening. I am sure many of them would be active members in your church, some even reciting Bible verses standing in the pulpit. Oh by the way, We just celebrated 150 years of Christianity, talk about timing and Irony.

Above all, we have a long way to go before we see real democratic elections but we are taking steps no matter how small, we have seen candidates contesting without money and no matter the amount of vote a deserving candidate got whether win or lose, a vote given to them out of conscious decision with a vision for a better future is a Victory for all of us, those who just want to see things change.
