Choice of Jalukie as dist headquarter welcomed

Peren, March 8 (MExN): On the declaration of establishing Peren District Headquarter at Jalukie by the Zeliangrong Baudi (Hoho), the Jalukie Sub-divisional Chairman Union consisting of 31 villages extended its full acceptance and co-operation in the subsequent course of developmental works.

Maisiaying, President of the Council extended its appreciation to the hoho for its endeavor and stated that the union shall stand firm with the decision of the hoho on the issue as ‘it is the voice of the people’.

Expressing similar zeal, Heizieying, Chairman of the entire Jalukie Council a conglomeration of 12 villages said that the hoho took the right decision as Jalukie was the unexpressed choice.

The Chairman at the same time urged upon the Government to expedite the process of its implementation works so that the people of the area could be at par with rest of the Districts.

The release further stated that the verdict of the hoho in selecting the site for Peren District H.Q. at Jalukie which is to be the state’s first model town will obviously be the most beneficial site for the Zeliangrong people in particular and the Nagas in general.
