Chokri Area GBs Union holds general meeting at Phusachodu

Kohima, April 22 (MExN): The Chokri Area GBs Union (CAGBU) held its general meeting at Phusachodu village under Phek district on April 22.

Nagaland Bamboo Development Agency (NBDA) Chairman, Nuzota Swuro addressed the meeting as the speaker. He asked the GBs to practice patience and exhibit honesty and work for the welfare of the community. He stressed on the need for revival of the good traditional practices of the forefathers and to re-visit it. Swuro also emphasised the need for GBs to be guardians of culture and traditions for the younger generations and also stressed on the need for the society to revere and honour the elders.

Zadülhü, President Phek District GB Association also spoke on the occasion. He called upon the GBs to be responsible law abiding persons and have moral integrity that is trustworthy and be a leader that is being respect by the public.
The programme was led by Resamu Rhakho, President, Chokri Area GBs Union (CAGBU) while welcome address was delivered by Vechosa Vero, Vice-president CAGBU. Vote of thanks was proposed by Vethikho Ngoi. CAGBU comprises 12 village units having 63 members.
