Do not meddle with what is called the occult, a word used to describe activities in which humans try to control supernatural or paranormal powers. These things include horoscopes, zodiac signs, Ouija boards, witchcraft, spells, mediums and tarot cards.
First of all, it's extremely important to understand that just like there is a physical world, there's also a spiritual world. This mostly unseen world has two sides:
1) The perfect and beautiful part that comes from God, and 2) the dark spiritual world that is in opposition to God.
The leader of the dark world is Satan. Satan was an angel who fell away from God and he rules the dark spiritual world in a war against the good. Here's what the Bible tells us to do in this war of powerful spiritual forces of good and evil in Ephesians 6:11-13.
"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand."
We might not see the battle, but it is very real. What are they fighting over? Us! And Satan knows how to lure us over to him. Very few people jump right into witchcraft, Satanism, or even actual devil worship. Instead, Satan most often traps us by getting us to dabble with things that seem harmless. Instead of focusing on occult stuffs one should be focusing on godly and heavenly things.
"Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God. The nations you will dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery or divination. But as for you, the LORD your God has not permitted you to do so. (Deuteronomy 18:10-14)
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil." "Proverbs 3: 5-7"
"For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do--living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead." (1 Peter 4:3-5)
Be a witness of your trust in the Lord to be Your Good Shepherd by not looking at things Satan can use to lead us away from God. No believer should become a follower of satanic forces like palmistry, astrology, tarot cards, Ouija boards, divination, witchcraft, casting spell, mediums and necromancy. Occult is something that is much more dangerous than you could imagine.
Either you trust the Lord to be your Good Shepherd to lead you and guide you in the way you ought to go or you are looking to guidance and advise from the stars which he created. Christianity and occult do not mix.
