Christina Memorial Hr Sec School (CMHSS) observed the National Library Day at the school’s auditorium on August 13 with various activities related with the day. 


During the event, the Chief Patron, O Alem, IPS (Retd) and former  DGP of Nagaland  encouraged the students to inculcate the habit of reading books.


Bendangsenla and Yenmei of Class 6 recited “Ode to my school Library,” while Elitoli of Class 6 read a story titled, “A new World.”


A short play was also enacted by students of  Class 9 on, “benefits of reading books.”


The significance of the National Library Day was presented by Suyim while Niboto of Class 12 and Wanle of Class 6 spoke on the theme,  “I am a book lover.”


Later, the school Principal rewarded the best two students from class 4-12 on “Book review,” informed a release from CMHSS. 


The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and benediction by the school chaplain, it added.
