Dimapur, December 14 (MExN): On December 9, around 4:35 p.m. some “Naga look-alike” occupants of a white Maruti 800 (registration No. AS 25C 9421) overtook a vehicle, a Mahindra Bolero, belonging to Longleng Town Baptist Church, near Christian Higher Secondary School in Dimapur. The criminals robbed the church officials who were inside the Bolero. Cash amounting to Rs. 61,800 and personal belongings including cell phones of the youth director and cashier were robbed at gun-point. A note issued by H Beaü Phom, Pastor of Longleng Town Baptist Church today said the two church workers were in Dimapur on an urgent church-related business. The church rued that such despicable acts of crime are being committed in a so-called “Christian state” as Nagaland. Such crimes should be condemned by all right-thinking citizens, the church’s’ note said.
