
MTBA to provide monthly nutritional supplies for three years
Mokokchung, February 2 (MExN): The Mokokchung Town Baptist Church (MTBA) will be providing monthly nutritional supplies to 50 Tuberculosis patients in Mokokchung for a period of three years from January 2023.
“The Church leading a good example came forward by adopting 50 TB patients for a period of three years on January 30,” stated a DIPR report.
In Mokokchung district, there are altogether 24 Nikshay Mitras including individuals, NGOs, Corporate, etc, who have adopted 97 TB patients by giving nutritional supplements every month out of which 50 TB patients are adopted by MTBA.
The DIPR report stated that the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Mokokchung has appreciated “the goodwill gesture of MTBA for their contribution towards the welfare of the community.”
Nikshay Mitra is a Government of India initiative to aid TB patients and de-stigmatise the disease in the community. It is a project that enables people to adopt TB patients and take care of their nutritional and medical requirements.
