Citizens’ Forum denounces violence

Dimapur, July 4 (MExN): The Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum (DDCF) has strongly condemned the attack on Hazadisa Village and the villagers on June 17 by villagers of Khkiho Village, attack on United Naga Village (Inavi) and the bomb attack at Y. Enterprise, 3rd Mile on June 30. The Form while sharing the grievances with the bereaved families, the affected people and the villager, said that in all the attacks, harm was caused to the innocent citizens, loss of properties and even loss of life.

There is no scale that can measure what has been lost when a life is lost. At the same time, no religion if rightly advocated or practiced, will ever allow us to practice violence and take away another human’s life,” DDCF general secretary I Temjen Jamir stated in the condemnation note.
The Form further called upon every citizens of Dimapur district to restrain from all forms of violence and to be more vigilant in ushering in peace particularly in Dimapur district and Nagaland in general. Every citizen must play his/her role to bring in peace and harmony in the whole of Dimapur district and eradicate all forms of violence. “Let us not keep or give any place for violence but make Dimapur a model district for peace and harmony.”
