Clinical Chümoukedima outclass Dimapur to lift Senior Men’s Inter-District crown

Chümoukedima, April 24 (MExN): Chumoukedima produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Dimapur by six wickets and clinch the Senior Men’s Inter-District Tournament 2026 title at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium in Chümoukedima on April 24.

A clinical bowling display followed by a composed chase ensured a convincing finish in the summit clash.

Put in to bat, Dimapur were bundled out for a modest 80 in 25.1 overs, struggling to counter a disciplined Chümoukedima attack. Shamphri Terang top-scored with 26 off 34 balls, but the batting line-up failed to build any meaningful momentum.

Chümoukedima’s bowlers dictated terms throughout, led by Neizekho Rupreo, who returned impressive figures of 4 for 16 in 7.1 overs to earn the Player of the Match award. He was ably supported by Imliwati, who picked up 3 for 15, while Ravi Kumar Ram chipped in with 2 for 36.

In reply, Chümoukedima chased down the target comfortably, reaching 85 for 4 in 17.1 overs. Jonathan Rongsen struck a brisk 27 off 21 balls, while Aloto Sumi contributed 23 off 19 deliveries to anchor a steady chase without major setbacks.

For Dimapur, Hopongkyu Sangtam (2/23) and Sundram Gupta (2/12) claimed two wickets each, but the low total proved inadequate to defend.
