
Kohima, February 21 (MExN): The Chakhesang Mothers Association (CMA) today stated that “due to the present imbroglio on ULB Election, CMA disassociates from the good office of the Naga Mothers Association (NMA) for the time being.” CMA President Zaposhelu Venuh and General Secretary Wechete-u Khape in a press release informed that this decision was arrived at an emergency office bearers’ meeting held on February 20 at Pfutsero “to honour and respect the directives of the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) as being part and parcel of its apex tribal organisation.” The CMA acknowledged and honoured the NMA for safeguarding and protecting the rights and interest of the womenfolk and said that the “dignity, labour & sacrifices of the NMA is placed on high record by all womenfolk till today.”
