Punglwa, August 12 (MexN): Col (Dr) Smita Misra a distinguished Officer of the Army Education Corps took over as tenth Principal of Sainik School Punglwa on August 12. Col (Dr) Smita Misra brings with her experience in leadership and education, making her an ideal fit for the role, the SSP stated in a press release.
The Officer holds a Ph.D. Degree from MDS University, Ajmer. Prior to her appointment at Sainik School Punglwa, she has held several instructional and staff appointments at various academics and defence formations including serving as Vice Principal of Sainik School Kapurthala, Punjab and Principal of Sainik School Ghorakhal, Uttarakhand and Chief Instructor at AEC Training College & Centre, Pachmarhi from 2023 to 2025.
Col (Dr) Misra's career is marked by dedication and recognition for her service. She was awarded the COAS Army Chief Commendation Card for dedicated service in 2007 and the GOC-IN-C Southern Command Chief Commendation Card for dedicated service in 2018.
