Cold Chain Equipment handed over to Health & Family Welfare dept

Kohima, March 4 (MExN): The ONGC Foundation officially handed over the donated Cold Chain Equipment (CCE) to the Department of Health and Family Welfare (DoHFW), Nagaland on March 4 in the Principal Director’s Chamber. 

Temjenyanger, DGM (Geology), has been deputed to oversee the equipment and hand over the ONGC stickers to be placed in each of the equipment, the IEC State Bureau of the DoHFW stated in a press release on Thursday.

He also briefed the meeting on behalf of the ONGC and greeted the officers present in the meeting. As per the instruction from the Government of India, ONGC was instructed to aid the Medical Department and so they took the initiative to fund with Medical equipment like Ice Lined Refrigerator (ILR) and Cold Chain. After the meeting, the member physically verified the Medical equipment. 

Cold Chain Equipment supplied were installed in various Cold Chain Points in the State through the initiatives of Puneet Suri Executive Director-Basin Manager, Assam and Assam Arakan Basin, Jorhat, the release added.

Members present in the meeting were Dr Kevichusa Medikhru, Principal Director, DoHFW, Temjenyanger DGM (Geology), Dr Ritu Thurr, State Immunization Officer (UIP), Dr G R Rio, Deputy Director (UIP), Dr Kikameren Longkumer, Joint Director DoHFW, Keneingulie Solo, State Cold Chain Officer (UIP).
