Combined Annual Training Camp of NCC culminates in Dimapur

Dimapur, December 21 (MExN): The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC-102) of NCC conducted by 1 Nagaland NCC Girls Battalion, Kohima at Greenwood School, Dimapur culminated on December 20. 

The camp was attended by over 550 cadets, of Senior and Junior Divisions, from the affiliated institutions all across the state of Nagaland. During the course of the 10 days camp, the cadets were trained and tested in various military subjects and are groomed to have a good bearing and discipline in life, stated a press release received here. 

A large number of guest lectures by experts in respective fields were organised on various contemporary subjects of interest including SSB Selection Procedure, New Recruitment Policy of Indian Army, Cyber Security, Health, Hygiene and Nutrition. Military Equipment display and handling followed by mesmerizing Band Display were the most cherished activities of the camp. 

The State Disaster Relief Force conducted a Firefighting and Disaster Management lecture and demonstration during the conduct of the camp.  Cadets underwent numerous tests in Small Arm Firing, Tent Pitching, Extempore Elocution, Drill and other military subject as per the curriculum. A large number of sporting events were also held where the cadets got a chance to showcase their talent and sportsmanship. 

At the end of the camp, a cultural event was organised wherein the cadets displayed their exceptional skills showcasing the rich and diverse culture of Nagaland, the release added.
