Complexity of BSNL

For weeks now, the WLL Network at Tuensang is down and off air. Immediate restoration of service is not visible up to this point of time even as the subscribers continue to languish and bear inconveniences of all sorts and take it in their stride perhaps, people are used to the idea of keeping their fingers crossed and customized to remain that way. What has irked the BSNL subscribers more than what it hurts most is the non-response and lackadaisical attitude on the part of the BSNL, CDMA subscribers and the bulk of villages, relying solely on WLL phone for communication demands for restoration of WLL services at the earliest possible time.

Earlier on 20/06/2005, the Cell-one subscribers’ union of Tuensang had submitted a representation addressed to SDE (MICRO) Tuensang to consider and rectify the various grievances of the subscribers, but no tangible results are seen. Needless to say, the subscribers pay their rental for 24/7 the whole month through but, here again, the network is off service from 10:30 pm. till about 5:30 am. The next morning the dilemma is the network is routine-wise on and off the standard or average service provided to Cell One customers sum up to just about 3 weeks in a working month. What is more and even worse, connection of fixed telephone (land based) to Cell One is not possible without having access to STD facility in the first place. For several weeks now, the constructionof new tower for Cell One has been stalled and progress in work in any is in snails pace. The construction of the tower ought to be resumed, without further delay and enable the PSU service provider to render uninterrupted and flawless service to the people of the district.
