Dimapur, December 15 (MExN): The Eastern Konyak Union has expressed sadness over the demise of Late Gen. (Retd) Kholi Chetkoh Konyak, Vice President of GPRN/NSCN (IM). The union extended condolence to his family members and his dear ones.
Western Chakhesang Hoho, in a condolence note stated, “His sacrifice for the people will be remembered in the history of Naga struggle for self determination. In losing him, we've lost a Fatherly figure. May God Almighty grant him peaceful rest and solace to all near & dear ones.”
Meanwhile, the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has acknowledged the expression of love, kindness and support shown during the public reception to honour Late Gen. (Retd) Kholi Chetkoh Konyak, Vice President of GPRN/NSCN (IM), which was jointly organized by Naga Hoho and Naga Council Dimapur on December 14. The council, in a release from Thsapongkyu Sangtam General Secretary NCD has thanked all civil society groups and organizations from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland for taking the time to share the heartfelt memories.
