Kohima, November 29 (DIPR): The Consul General of France Kolkota, Jean Louis Rysto accompanied by an embassy staff, called on the chief minister of Nagaland at his residence, on November 29.
The Consul General held discussions with the Chief Minister on various issues of business interest, particularly in petroleum, agri and horti organic products, hydro power, rubber and retail markets. In tune with the purpose of the visit, the Consul General was briefed by the Chief Minister on the general aspects of the State pertaining to its people, land, religion, social structure, occupation, literacy, history, law and order conditions etc.
The Chief Minister also explained the ‘Look East Policy’ of the Government of India and the policies and Acts of the Government of Nagaland, such as Communitization, Village Council and Village Development Board systems. The infrastructure developments in the State as well as entry into the State procedures were also discussed.
