Convergence camp, enrollment drive held at Phesama village

Kohima, March 29 (MExN): A convergence camp-cum-enrolment drive was conducted at the Village Council Hall in Phesama under Kohima district on March 28.

The programme was organised by the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), BMMU, RD Block Jakhama.

Limakumla Pongener, Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC), Kezocha, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of convergence initiatives and encouraging community participation in government schemes for sustainable livelihood development.

Resource persons from RD Block Jakhama, Veterinary Department, and the Health & Family Welfare Department shared information on schemes and services available for the rural community.

The programme was chaired by Sokhrienuo Rüpre-o, Area Coordinator, SI/SD, NSRLM BMMU, RD Block Jakhama, while the invocation was pronounced by Lasono Sileo, President of Viko VLO, Phesama.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Kuvono Yhoshu, Gender Community Resource Person, Gender Resource Centre, Jakhama.

The event concluded with refreshments and an enrolment drive, during which participants were registered to avail benefits under various government programmes.
