Kohima: The Commissioner & Secretary, Government of Nagaland, B.P.Chetri, NCS formally launched the official website of Cooperation Department in the Registrar’s office building Kohima on May 7, 2014.
The Commissioner & Secretary B.P.Chetri, expressed her appreciation and congratulated the officers who were involved in the preparation of the website and for successfully launching the website. The Commissioner & Secretary also urged the department’s officers to maintain transparency of the department’s activities in the website and added that the website be updated, accessible with factual figure and accuracy. She also appealed the officers to look forward on the shortage of manpower to administer above 7000 registered societies in their annual meeting.
Velasa Nakro, Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Government of Nagaland while delivering welcome address said the purpose of the website launching was to highlight the State and National level developmental activities. To maintain the transparency to the global environment and the Department would get the feedback from the public. The Registrar also informed the website was launched as per the government’s direction that it would benefit to the public. After the formal programme the annual meeting of Departmental officers was held for the review of the departmental activities and appraisal.
